Giving something back

At Changes we believe strongly in our responsibility to give something back to the community in which we work. We don’t consider this a corporate duty, it’s something we actually want to do, something we’re passionate about.

Sportability is the registered charity with whom we have chosen to work. It provides opportunities for sport and challenging pursuits for people with paralysis around the UK.

Through Sportability, people with conditions such as spinal cord injury, stroke, MS and others, are able to participate in a whole range of sports - scuba diving, sailing, archery, angling, abseiling, quad-biking, gliding, canoeing, clay pigeon shooting, go-karting, wheelchair tennis and many more.

Sportability is not about creating elite sportsmen and women. It is about trying something new and different. It is about the adrenaline rush, putting the buzz back into a life corralled by the wheelchair, taking the “dis” out of disability and focusing on ability. To inspire the thought, “If I can do this, what else can I achieve?”

Working with Dame Kelly Holmes’s charity, Sportability, gives everybody at Changes a sense of achievement too, and inspires our organisation continuously, so it’s very much a relationship of “give and take”.

For every placement we make at Changes, we make a donation to Sportability. In this way your achievement can help inspire someone less fortunate to succeed too.

If you want to find out more about our corporate social responsibility or wish to discuss how we might be able to partner with your charity please call us on 0845 1300 454.
